Havas Bucsin
The course is located at 30 km (18.64 miles) from Gyergyószentmiklós. If you’re going 1.5 km (0.93 miles) from the top of the Bucsin to Szováta, it will be located on the left. If you are approaching Gyergyószentmiklós from the direction of Szováta, the course is lying at 500 m (1640.4 feet) from the 19th km. The distance between the ski elevator and the main road is just 150 m (492 feet).
The length of the course is 1149 m (3769 feet), lain to the west and the drop of the course is 14˚.
The bottom of the course is at 1200 m (3937 feet) above the sea.
The name of the elevator is Teleschi Nascivera CK80, its speed is 2.5 m/s and its capacity is 720 persons/hour.

Salt Mine Praid
The salt mine in Praid is unique, recommended for everyone, and its microclimate is useful for many health problems. For healthy people, the underground environment helps to relax and invigorate the body.The leisure base is at a depth of 120 m from the surface. Passengers are transported by the mine’s buses, which cover a distance of 1250 m, all the way to the entrance gate of the base.
The underground rooms are equipped with a lighting system, playgrounds, billiard table, sports fields, buffet, restaurant, benches, ecumenical chapel, all of which offer a pleasant stay.
The average annual underground temperature is 16 degrees Celsius.
On the way out from the leisure base you will find the Panorama Belvedere visiting area. On this level you can taste the finer and finer wines and also dine on a variety of dishes prepared in the mine’s own restaurant.
The salt mine’s program, usually beginning July 24 each year, is between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The salt water pool
In addition to the Praid salt mine, the saltwater, modernized and expanded beach was reopened in 2014, thanks to an investment of 1.5 million euros.
The beach, open all summer, has 3 saltwater pools, a health point, a self-service restaurant, three bars and a gift shop where you can buy beach items and souvenirs.
The Mountain and the Salt Canyon
The salt mound of Praid is one of the most spectacular areas of Transylvania. The 66-hectare area of the nature reserve is located southwest of the tourist resort of Praid, and the salt dome overlaps the Salt Hill (576 m). The route is about 1 km long and contains 7 points of interest.
Small Steam Train
Unforgettable trip on the route between Sovata – Vármező 14 km. Traveling by small train costs 35 lei for adults and 20 lei for children. It has a total of 90 seats, distributed in three cars, two of which are closed, built in 1985 and 1991, and one open, gondola-type, built in 1953.
Small Steam Train Sovata opens the 2022 season on 05.07.2022, in compliance with the measures imposed by DSP regarding COVID-19; Wearing masks is mandatory both at the train station and in wagons! We will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Corund
Korond is located in the western part of Harghita County, at an altitude of 580 m, 18 km from Sovata Bath. There are stalls along the main road, full of local pottery, wood, wool and straw products.
The economy of the settlement is based on activities in the fields of pottery, production of ceramic products, extraction and primary processing of wood.
